About the event
Children and adolescents with disordered eating often require all day support to ensure they are meeting their nutrition goals; thus, school providers and personnel can be critical aids to a child's recovery from disordered eating. This presentation will review relevant statistics and research about eating disorders in children and adolescents including biopsychosocial and cultural considerations; evidence-based treatment and levels of care; strategies for supporting children and adolescents at school; and tips for collaborating with caregivers.
