The goal of this presentation is to provide the attendees with an overview of the application of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act

Psychotropic Medications for Children & Adolescents,
Jessica Small, PharmD, BCPP

The workshop will describe how the medications are used with children & adolescents, discuss potential hazards and side effects associated with psychotropic medications having the "black box" warning and medications labeled with the "black box" warning, etc.

Advanced Workshop on the Assessment of Adaptive Behavior,
Thomas Oakland, Ph.D., ABPP, ABPN

This workshop discusses professional and legal requirements, identifies commonly used measures of adaptive behavior, identifies clinical cases, identifies adaptive skill profiles associated with common disabilities seen by school psychologists, and discusses ways to best interpret information from the ABAS-II.

A model Board of Education policy on the response to cyberbullying and cyberthreats will be shared, along with many other helpful strategies for enhancing a positive school climate and for improving school safety and security.
